Cheddar-Garlic Beer Bread Mix
Preparation instructions – items needed:
- 1 – 12 ounce can of beer (or carbonated beverage)
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease loaf pan. Pour ingredients from bag into a bowl. Add beer slowly, mix together without over-mixing. Pour into greased pan. Add 1/4 cup melted butter to the top of the dough. Bake at 350° for about 50 minutes (until a toothpick comes out clean). Let pan sit for 10 minutes. Slice – enjoy!
Consider enhancing the flavor with onions, chives, bacon bits, or jalapenos. Alcohol bakes out. Works well with substitution of a soft drink.
This bread makes a great companion with any of our soups!!! Great as toast too! Slather with butter.
