Mama’s Original Recipe Very Chocolate Brownie Mix
Preparation instructions – items needed:
- 3 eggs
- 1-1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup shortening or cooking oil
- 2 Tbsp water
Preheat oven to 350°. Pour chocolate brownie mix into a large bowl. In a separate bowl, mix well wet items not in the package. Add to the brownie mix in the large bowl. Stir with a fork until well blended. Chocolate chips can be mixed in, sprinkled on top, or used as a snack while making the brownies.
Pour into an 8″ x 8″ pan (or 9″ x 12″ for thinner brownies or consider muffin size or mini-muffin size for two bite brownies. Adjust cooking time based on pan size). Grease only the bottom of the pan as greasing the sides causes brownie edges to harden. Bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Do NOT over bake brownies.
Serve warm with ice cream, hot fudge, nuts and maraschino cherries could put you into another universe. So good you don’t need frosting, but who’s counting? Fabulous and chocolicious.
