Kelle’s Coffee Cake Mix
Preparation instructions – items needed:
- 8 Tbsp butter (1 stick)
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3/4 cup sour cream
Topping: Use a pastry cutter or fork to cut 3 Tbsp cold butter into the small topping packet. Set this bowl aside.
Cake: Beat the remaining 5 Tbsp cold butter in mixing bowl until smooth. Add dry ingredients and mix until combined. Add eggs, vanilla, and sour cream. Mix thoroughly. Spread into prepared 9″ x 9″ pan. Sprinkle topping evenly over top of the cake. Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean.
Consider adding 1 cup fresh blueberries or apples. Walnuts can be added to topping before sprinkling.
A moist, crumble topped coffee cake that is exactly what you need for breakfast. Best when it comes out of the oven!
